At the Anglesey Arms, near Goodwood it’s all about the perfectly pulled pint and the finest real ales.

We have a varied selection of house wines and rotating guest beers for you to sample alongside staple picks from leading breweries. Whether you’re calling in for a quick pint with a friend or bringing the family for a nice sit-down meal, we have your favourite tipple and friendly staff waiting behind the bar.

If you’re a creature of habit, why not try something new? If you’re eating with us, we can recommend the perfect wine to complement your chosen dish or perhaps help you to discover our latest real ales. We have Cask Marque accreditation, which is an award for pubs which serve cask ale of the highest quality. We are inspected twice a year to ensure that all our real ales meet the standards set by the Cask Marque Trust in terms of their temperature, appearance, aroma and taste. You’ll find a bit of what you fancy at The Anglesey Arms of Chichester. Our superb restaurant is manned by two top local chefs; Emma Morply is joined by the eminent Robbie Small and both share an affinity for organic and locally sourced meat and vegetables.

Only the finest meat is obtained from The Goodwood Estate's Home Farm and our fresh vegetables originate from Wayside Organics in Chichester. Our eggs are organic and we are proud advocates of Label Rouge free range poultry. If you’re not aware of Label Rouge, it is a method of production which is respectful of the animal’s welfare and protects the environment.

Fishermen on the Selsey coast provide local crab, fish and lobster for the freshest tastes of the sea. All non-local fish derives from MSC approved stocks. We are renowned for serving seasoned fish and shellfish, including clams, scallops and mussels. As we’re placed in an area noted for shooting, game birds and venison frequently appear on the menu when the season calls for it.

Our famous roasts rotate on a weekly basis and are served alongside a range of native, organic vegetables. Our secret recipe onion bread remains a mystery and a firm favourite with our regular diners. Ashley and Robbie highlight the importance of good quality, fresh and organic produce in their menus and this comes across in the distinctive flavours they achieve.

And whatever you do, make sure to leave room for one of our classic homemade puddings.

The Anglesey Arms

Jools and George Jackson are proudly at the helm of The Anglesey Arms, a great, charming, old fashioned red brick pub and restaurant situated on the Goodwood Estate, on the A285 between Chichester and Petworth.

Keen to preserve the most traditional of country pub values, whilst maintaining high standards, we are proud members of CAMRA and our beer is Cask Marque accredited. Real ale aficionados are well catered for, with a range of immaculately kept lager, cider and ales from independent and local breweries, as well as some old favourites.

We pride ourselves on our high standards both in and out of the kitchen. Our professional chefs work closely together to design and produce a varied menu of seasonal specialities alongside familiar favourites, whilst our friendly service staff cater for our guests' every need in charming countryside dining room.
