About Us

About Us

The best place to eat near Goodwood! Stop by our great family pub and enjoy delicious food and drinks with your friends and family.

George and Jools Jackson both benefit from over 30 years of experience in the pub trade. Together we have built a strong reputation for the Anglesey Arms over the last 13 years, and are proud that our traditional countryside pub has so much to offer to locals and visitors to Chichester.

Our eclectic and delectable menu is designed and prepared by our two illustrious chefs Emma Morphy and Robbie Small. Food is served from 12 for lunch which ends at 2.30pm. The kitchen reopens at 6.30pm for evening meals which are available until 9.30pm. If you plan on joining us for one of our infamous Sunday lunches, we do advise that you book ahead as we usually fill up very quickly. Behind the bar there’s something to suit all tastes, including a varied selection of real ales and ciders, wines, beers and spirits as well as soft drinks for those who prefer to keep a clear head. You’re welcome to take your drinks out into our spacious beer garden on warmer days where you can enjoy the sunshine with friends and family.

Bookings for events and celebrations are accepted and our calendar gets booked up well in advance, so if you’re getting married or celebrating a milestone birthday this year why not give us a call?

Jools and George Jackson are proudly at the helm of The Anglesey Arms, a great, charming, old fashioned red brick pub and restaurant situated on the Goodwood Estate, on the A285 between Chichester and Petworth.

Keen to preserve the most traditional of country pub values, whilst maintaining high standards, we are proud members of CAMRA and our beer is Cask Marque accredited. Real ale aficionados are well catered for, with a range of immaculately kept lager, cider and ales from independent and local breweries, as well as some old favourites.

We pride ourselves on our high standards both in and out of the kitchen. Our professional chefs work closely together to design and produce a varied menu of seasonal specialities alongside familiar favourites, whilst our friendly service staff cater for our guests' every need in charming countryside dining room.
